I find NetMarketing's Web Price
Index to be a very useful website containing otherwise hard to find information.
It provides a monthly look at how much you can expect to pay for Web services throughout
different parts of the U.S. Copyright © Crain Communications,

This site also contains some other features you might find useful, such as
an Internet glossary, some great articles on eCommerce, and a list of national website
developers.

Site Index. The following reflects information as of April 1998:
According to Business Marketing's latest national survey of Web
developers, the median price for building a marketing-oriented website has increased by as
much as 78% since October 1997, with costs for putting a small company on the Web jumping
the most.
These average hourly rates have NOT been adjusted since April 1998 to
reflect any subsequent cost increases.
