The Spring 98 Season
The Fireballs had a .750 record
during their 2nd season as a travel team, with 5 wins, 1 loss, and 2 ties. The team
demonstrated significant improvement over last year, while also playing the more difficult
teams in the league during this season.

The girls take shelter where they can from a little rain during the
start of an early season practice during Spring 1998. The coaches decide whether the
fields are best for swim or soccer practice, while the parents wait (in the background) in
anticipation. After a bit of debate, we decide to cancel practice. |

A forfeit by the VIST Raptors actually ended up being counted as a game
not played. However, had it counted as a win for the Fireballs,
we still would have placed 4th due to ties.

But, the parents look more tired than the girls. |
