GIRLS YOUTH SOCCER |
| The CYA Fireballs, a first season travel team knocked off the
Vista Cougars 4-0 in U-11 youth girls soccer action on Sunday. The team, coached by Brett
Lushina, Chuck Thomas and Jim Tingley, was led by Kelly Grant's two goals. Kelly Sherman
and Audrey Le each added a goal as well, while Sarah Morris provided a shut-out in goal. |

| CYA Fireballs 2 Mid-County 0 The CYA Fireballs, an ODSL
girls Under-11 soccer travel team, beat Mid-County (MCSA) 2-0 last Sunday. Kelly Grant and
Kelly Sherman each scored a goal off an assist from Megan Tingley. Ann Kennedy, A.B.
Lawson, Julie Lushina, Katie Sugermeyer, Hannah "Tonka" Thomas and Liz Whalen
led an incredible defensive effort that did not allow MCSA any shots on goal. |
